Phosphating is a commonly used pretreatment technology. It is a process in which a chemical and electrochemical reaction forms a phosphate chemical conversion film. The formed phosphate conversion film is called a phosphate film. Its main purposes are: to provide protection to the base metal, preventing metal corrosion to some extent; to be used as a primer before painting, improving the adhesion and anti-corrosion ability of the paint film; and to act as a lubricating agent in metal cold processing.
The main phosphating process includes degreasing and derusting → washing → phosphating → washing → post-phosphating treatment. Based on the advantages of PP material, which is corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant (below 100℃), PP phosphating tanks are widely used in phosphating treatment.
